You have three options to get to the race venue …

With our registration centre now located at the Overseas Passenger Terminal (OPT), it is now much easier to take public transport to the event. We encourage all competitors to take a close look at the public transport options as parking in the CBD is very difficult (Opera House car park is the only parking station open early on Sunday – fees apply) and considerable road closures and disruptions occurring on any Sunday by far the best option on event day – Sunday, 9 July 2017 is public transport.

Information regarding road closures for Sunday 9 July can be found below.

  • Individual Maps with Confirmed Access Arrangements (Coming Soon)
  • Road Closure – RMS Map (Coming Soon).

Please note that there will be additional road closures and re-directions due to the amount of construction currently being done in Sydney’s CBD and not just closures for this event.

Take the Train

Circular Quay station is the closest train station to the start/finish area. Wynyard station is also nearby, for train lines which do not access Circular Quay station.

Catch a Bus

Normal Sunday timetable and set down points should apply during event day, with the closest bus terminals being at Alfred and Carrington Streets.

Driving & Parking Info

We fully appreciate that the public transport options aren’t for everyone and some participants will drive to the event. It is important to note that street parking in the CBD is very limited (and fees apply).

If you are parking, arrive at the venue in plenty of time to allow yourself time to walk from your parking space to the finish line. To enable all participants to be parked and at the race start 45mins before the event please utilise the following car park – Wilson Car Parking – Sydney Opera House Car Park (2 Macquarie Street, Sydney – approximately 14 mins walk from car park to start lane).  Please note that Wynyard Lane Car Park was closed late in 2016 and is therefore not available.
