The Real Insurance Sydney Harbour 10k and 5k returns to the historic Sydney Rocks and sparkling Sydney Harbour foreshore taking in spectacular Sydney landmarks including the Sydney Harbour Bridge, Opera House and the beautiful Barangaroo Headland.
Just one month before the spring classics, the Sydney Harbour 10k provides the perfect opportunity to check your preparation for a half marathon or marathon, or to go for a PB.
The 5k is perfect for those starting out on their running journey, returning to exercise, or just looking for a great morning run.
Both distances are flat and fast.
Starting at the historic Sydney Rocks area, the 10k course is a one lap loop which hugs the harbour foreshore to ensure spectacular views throughout. The course travels along Hickson Rd, through Cockle Bay, Darling Harbour, through stunning Barangaroo parklands and back into The Rocks to the finish line near the Overseas Passenger Terminal, Circular Quay.
The Real Insurance Sydney Harbour 5k also takes in some of Sydney’s most beautiful sights. The course starts at George Street, the Rocks and continues around the edge of Sydney Harbour, under the famous Sydney Harbour Bridge before an out and back section along Hickson Road. You will return beneath the Harbour Bridge following the foreshore to the finish line near the Overseas Passenger Terminal, Circular Quay
There are three start groups allowing for the elite and more serious runners to stride out at the front of the pack and the more casual participants to enjoy a more leisurely pace.
