The Real Insurance Sydney Harbour 10km course is a flat and fast run with spectacular views. Just one month before the Spring classics, the Sydney Harbour 10k provides the perfect opportunity to check your preparation for a half marathon or marathon or go for a personal best time. Not an experienced runner? No problem! The course is designed to suit runners and walkers of all abilities who are keen to get out and have a go, the flat and fast course makes for a great first fun run experience.
There are 4 Start Groups A, B, C & D depending on your expected finish time. All participants must be over the start line by 8:50am

SYDNEY 10K COURSE MAP
Starting at the Historic Sydney Rocks area, the 10km course is a one loop which hugs the harbour foreshore to ensure spectacular views throughout. The course travels along Hickson Rd, Pyrmont Bridge, Pyrmont, Darling Harbour, through Cockle Bay, through stunning Barangaroo Reserve and back into the Rocks to the finish line near the Overseas Passenger Terminal, Circular Quay.
For slower runners, joggers or walkers it is important to select the correct wave and appropriate starting group. There are four (4) waves to choose from based on expected finish time.
Select the start wave that reflects a pace (km/min) most appropriate to you, based on your training and past race experiences. All prams and wheelchairs (except elite racing chairs) must be in the final start group (D Group).
All results will be based on GUN TIME (as per World Athletics rules) although participants will be provided with a NET TIME for reference.
Please note: If you have selected to have your race bib posted all and any changes must be made prior to Thursday, 22 June 2023 due to packing requirements.

Bib numbers will be allocated to participants who have selected race bib postage from Thursday 22 June 2023. Participants who have not selected race bib postage will have their bib number allocated when they collect their race bib.

If you have items that you need stored whilst you are running, you can drop these off at the baggage area on race morning. You must put loose items into the bag provided and affix the baggage sticker. Although baggage services are available, we encourage participants only utilise the service if essential.
To help you achieve your personal best, pace setters from Sydney Striders. Each Pace Setter will be holding a coloured flag and wear an identifiable singlet displaying the pace time. Pacing times for 2021 are 35 min, 40 min, 45 min, 50 min, 55 min, 60 min, 65 min
